Data:Lab Munich recently started a call for applications regarding the 2nd cycle of their Startup Collaboration Space! The winners of their upcoming Pitch Days on October 4th and 5th 2017, get the opportunity to work with the Data:Lab and connect with brands representatives of the Volkswagen Group. Aligned with the Data:Lab’s technological focus, they are excited getting to know startups in the area of Advanced Analytics, Robotics, Machine Learning (e.g. deep learning and natural language processing) with applications within the automotive industry. If your startup can make an impact in these areas, you should really consider to apply. The application deadline is on September 15!
The 2nd cycle of the Collaboration Space will be supported by NVIDIA. Selected startups will be accepted into NVIDIA’s Inception programme (especially if they use & require NVIDIA DGX deep learning super computer). Inception is NVIDIA’s virtual incubator program for AI startups. It supports exceptional startups who are revolutionising industries with advances in AI and data science during critical stages of product development, prototyping, and deployment. Every member gets a custom set of ongoing benefits, from hardware grants and marketing support to training with deep learning experts.
What the Startup Collaboration Space offers:
The 14 weeks program offers you a wide-ranging support to grow your business and support you to improve your product or solution, including:
- financial support of 30,000€ per team for 0 equity
- individually tailored coaching/training sessions
- free office space in a central location in Munich
- dedicated and experienced mentor from the Volkswagen Group

- initial, intermediate and final event in Munich to showcase the progress during the period
- access to on-premises NVIDIA DGX deep learning supercomputer
The Data:Lab works for all 12 brands of the Volkswagen Group to empower digital innovation based on data. Their focus topics are the digitalization of the automotive value chain through advanced analytics, machine learning (e.g. deep learning, nlp) and Quantum Computing.
