AX Semantics, a Stuttgart-based developer and provider of software for natural language generation, has just completed another round of financing. A seven figure sum has been raised from existing and new stakeholders. The new investors – NWZ Digital, PDV Inter-Media Venture, Müller Medien – are traditional German media companies that fund innovative and promising online startups alongside their core publishing business.
AX Semantics will use the fresh capital to continue to develop its product. This includes extending its home-grown programming language ATML3 (Automated Text Markup Language) and further expanding its SaaS platform myAX. With the help of this platform AX Semantics customers can direct and optimise the automatic processes for generating texts themselves. Additionally, sales will be boosted to focus on expanding their network of partners.
The young company (founded in 2009) can now fully concentrate on it’s vision to enable as many users as possible to automatically generate text – even if they do not have programming knowledge.
Saim Alkan, founder and CEO of AX Semantics, stated, “In these new investors we have found perfect partners who will support us not only financially, but also with their branch expertise. The new financial means enable us to move on with internationalisation and expansion. To create large amounts of text quickly, affordably and in high quality is an ever-growing demand in e-commerce – worldwide.”
Marc Del Din, CEO of NWZ Digital in Oldenburg, explains: “What convinced us, is that AX Semantics is one of the few global players in the field of automatic text generation that can reliably deliver text in up to 12 languages. We count on AX Semantics using this investment to expand its leading position as an international and independent service provider for automatic text generation.”
AX Semantics is one of the leading natural language generation (NLG) companies in the world. The young company combines its years of experience in journalism and publishing with innovative technology. It has developed its own markup language ATML3 and is the first provider that enables its customers to configure the KIT of the software by themselves, allowing for suitable and more unique results based on their individual needs.
SEO product descriptions, business, sport, weather or traffic reports – the possibilities for text generation are countless. The software currently generates content in up to twelve languages, including simplified Chinese.
