10 of the hottest startups from Wolves Summit

Last month I attended Wolves Summit in Warsaw, one of the biggest startup events in eastern Europe. More than 250 investors, 300 executives, 500 web & software developers and about 300 startups attended this year’s edition. Startups competed in two categories – Young Wolves (winner: SwipeStox) and Experienced Startups (winner: Twisto). Here are some of the finalists I liked most:

NanoThea: Every day over 22,000 people in the world die because of cancer. Early diagnostics often plays a key role in cancer therapy. Many patients can be cured if the tumor is detected on the early stage of growth. That is why NanoThea is developing a novel effective and low cost tool for early diagnostics of solid tumors.

NanoSanguis offers innovative and safe red blood cells substitute, which can alternate to natural blood. NanoSanguis is an unique niche where advanced science meets practical application experience and business. The young company was born at Warsaw University of Technology.

SwipeStox is a mobile social trading app that allows everyone to trade financial instruments – Forex, Indices, and CFDs – simply by copying successful trades by others.   Everyone can swipe through the trades experienced traders have created, copy them and profit from their knowledge about the markets.

The Invoice Exchange/ Boza Terjatev is the first exchange for trading B2B receivables in Slovenia. The platform enables businesses to get cash by selling their invoices to financial investors through a secure online trading platform. The platform has a fully integrated trading and settlement system on top of an automated credit risk management engine using rating databases.

NUVIZ is bringing head-up display and connected driving solution to motorcycling. It was founded by a group of motorcycle and powersport enthusiasts who wanted to make the sport safer, yet more exhilarating. The hud easily mounts to any helmet and gives riders access to all relevant information without taking their eyes off the road.

Deekit is a freemium whiteboard which works on all your devices. Just in seconds you can draw your ideas; or drop an image on canvas and add your comments and feedback on top. Deekit is the first collaborative whiteboard that works fully in real-time, no matter what device you use or how poor your connectivity is.

Twisto is a provider of instant credit for online purchases. It is enabled by the unique risk assessment engine “Nikita”. Instant online credit line aggregating the sum of customer’s monthly e-commerce shopping into a single invoice. Customers can choose to pay each month in full or in flexible instalments. Started in the Czech republic, the firm now plans to expand across Europe.

Leadfeeder is a simple tool to know more about your website visitors and convert promising visitors into sales leads. Leadfeeder connects to your Google Analytics using an API and fetches data about your website visitors.
