London-based pocket concierge GuestU receives $1.1 million seed funding from Portugal Ventures

Founded at the beginning of this year by Euclides Major, London-based GuestU provides apps with personalisation algorithms to help hotels, hostels, guesthouses and short-term rentals create their own concierge service. Today, the young company announced it has raised $1.1 million seed funding from Portugal Ventures.

The fresh capital will be used to support product development and increase the startup’s global customer base. GuestU already serves 200 customers in 14 countries, having originally started up in Portugal and then moved to London.

The white label mobile app by GuestU offers useful information, booking services and GPS guided routes working offline in IOS and Android.

Recently, GuestU’s founder Euclides Major stated: “Our goal is to become the number one supplier of mobile technology and pocket concierge services to the hospitality trade in Europe and US, and I am confident that our easy, quick and sophisticated platform combined with our strong team will get us there and beyond.”
