Amsterdam-based flight search engine PaperFlies expands internationally

The optimised flight search and booking website PaperFlies today announced its global expansion to the US, UK, Belgium, Germany and Spain (Update – May 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this website, and we therefore deactivated the original link). The Amsterdam-based startup is now active in the virtual travel market of 8 countries.

With a large base following in the Netherlands, PaperFlies aims to offer the easiest way to find and compare hundreds of flights. What began as a ‘daily deal’ website in 2012 is now a full-fledged search engine that sifts through all airline, travel agency, and meta-search sites to deliver the best flight packages based on optimal flight length, number of stopovers, and ticket price.

As PaperFlies emerges as a brand, the young company will start offering quality curated content like city travel guides, trip tips, hotel suggestions, and special giveaways alongside of an unique consumer-friendly interface. Exclusive discounted flight deals to hand-picked destinations will also be available soon.

PaperFlies was founded in Amsterdam in 2012 by Bob Stolk and Jens Steenhuis, two young entrepreneurs who, after getting frustrated with complicated travel sites, saw the opportunity to disrupt the online booking and travel industry.
