Recap of the EU-Startups Conference 2014

The first edition of our EU-Startups Conference last Friday went quite well. Overall, about 80 people showed up at the WERK1 in Munich. We not only had participants from Germany, but from 9 different European countries and even two guests from the US and one from Japan.

I guess our guests liked the intimate atmosphere, which led to great networking opportunities. Beside our speakers/interviewees Bernhard Niesner (busuu), Jeff Lynn (Seedrs) and Markus Grundmann (Target Partners), we had a pitch competition with eight awesome startups. The winner was the Prague-based taxi app Liftago! We’ll going to report about them in more detail during this week.

Below you’ll find some visual impressions from our first event. A big “Thank you” to our jury member Joachim Günster, who not only advised startups in regards to their pitching technique, but also did some photos during the event.

We already prepared a long list of things we’d like to do better next year and we hope to see some of you at our EU-Startups Conference 2015! 🙂
