Stretch yourself as a leader in Budapest

I was having a nice Italian lunch with Medea Baccifava, the main organizer of international conferences at Prezi, chatting about their next event called ‘Stretch‘ which will take place in Budapest on 5-6th December, in cooperation with USTREAM (EU-Startups readers can get $50 discount, please scroll down for the flyer with the info)

EU-Startups.com: What shall we know about this event in a nutshell?

Medea: It’s actually a leadership conference, helping managers to become leaders by learning the art of leadership from international experts, just like Andrew Stellman (author of Beautiful Teams), Michael Lopp (author of Managing Humans), Sarah Novotny (program chair at Oscon), and Dario Nardi (author of Neuroscience of Personality). Our motto is: “First you grew. Now you lead”. (Here is a video which tells about our events)

EU-Startups.com: What makes this event unique?

Medea: The lineup of amazing speakers – you hardly can find a similar event in Europe where all these experts come together. They will talk about the challenges they faced when building successful teams and scaling up organizations from 20 to 200. They give valuable insight from companies that have been digital and agile from day one and explain how they managed to implement the language of change as well as establishing a culture of feedback. I would also like to highlight that it is a non-profit event, so even if it was possible to meet them all, the price of that event would not be accessible for many of us. Our goal is to bring knowledge to the CEE region, and make it accessible for everyone.

EU-Startups.com: How many participants do you expect and from what countries?

Medea: Regarding to the number of attendees, we are planning to have approximately 250 visitors, and at the last 2 conferences we had people from over 20 countries, mainly from Europe.

EU-Startups.com: For whom would you recommend this conference?

Medea: I would recommend it to anyone who personally would like to grow as a leader, no matter if (s)he works for a tech startup or in the oil industry. Stretching themselves should be the personal goal for any managers and we would like to help with that. I could also define it as a 2-day practical MBA crash course.

EU-Startups.com: Thanks for your time, and also for the discount you offer for our readers.
