Stretch yourself as a leader in Budapest, at ‘Stretch’, 5-6 December!

Recently I had a nice Italian lunch with Medea Baccifava, the main organiser of international conferences at Prezi. We were chatting about their next event called Stretch, which will take place in Budapest 5-6 December, in cooperation with USTREAM. The following interview is the result of this lunch, not to mention the nice discount for EU-Startups readers, which will give you a $50 discount for the event (please scroll down for the flyer with more information).

What should we know about Stretch in a nutshell?

It’s actually a leadership conference, helping managers to become leaders by learning the art of leadership from international experts, just like Andrew Stellman (author of Beautiful Teams), Michael Lopp (author of Managing Humans), Sarah Novotny (programme chair at Oscon), and Dario Nardi (author of Neuroscience of Personality). Our motto is: “First you grew. Now you lead”.

What makes this event unique?

The lineup of amazing speakers; you will hardly can find a similar event in Europe where all these experts come together. They will talk about the challenges they faced when building successful teams and scaling up organizations from 20 to 200. They give valuable insight from companies that have been digital and agile from day one and explain how they managed to implement the language of change, as well as establishing a culture of feedback.

I would also like to highlight that it is a non-profit event; even if it were possible to meet of these experts for a price, the cost of such an event would not be accessible for many of us. Our goal is to bring knowledge to the CEE region, and make it accessible for everyone.

How many participants do you expect and from which countries?

Regarding to the number of attendees, we are planning to have approximately 250 visitors, and at the last 2 conferences we had people from over 20 countries, mainly from Europe.

Who would you recommend this conference for?

I would recommend it to anyone who personally would like to grow as a leader, no matter if they work for a tech startup, or in the oil industry. Stretching themselves should be the personal goal for any managers and we would like to help with that. I could also define it as a 2-day practical MBA crash course.

Here is the discount for our readers!

Speaking of events, do you have your ticket yet for the upcoming EU-Startups Summit?
