Wayra, Seedcamp and Techstars join forces at Campus Party

Wayra, the global startup accelerator at Telefónica, today announced it will be hosting the ‘Start-Up Stage’ at Campus Party Europe 2013. The stage will play host to some of the best accelerators in Europe, with Seedcamp and Techstars joining Wayra and Y-Combinator alumni Peter Nixey to offer deep-dive workshops to Campus Party attendees who are looking to become the next big European startup founders.

Campus Party, Europe’s biggest and most ambitious technology festival, takes place this year at London’s O2 arena from 2-7 September (Update – April 2023: The website seems to be out of use, and we therefore deactivated the original link). The festival has been designed to help young entrepreneurs form new pathways into digital careers. The very best European entrepreneurial talent will be on show and Wayra is providing a platform for other startups to share their experiences with attendees eager to start their own company.

Wayra is offering the attendees of this year’s Campus Party the chance to win a ‘fast-track’ to the semi-finals of the next Wayra Global call, where they will be able to pitch their ideas for a place in one of the six Wayra academies around Europe.

Simon Devonshire, Director of Wayra Europe, said: “I’m very excited to be bringing together three of the best accelerators in Europe on stage, alongside some of Europe’s best founders, to offer entrepreneurs a week of the best advice they need to transform their ideas in the next generation of world-beating businesses. We’re delighted to have Seedcamp and Techstars join us at what is promising to be the biggest Campus Party ever.”

He continued: “Campus Party is the perfect environment for young entrepreneurs who want to learn from the peers and challenge themselves to take their idea to the next level. Over four days we will provide attendees with the tools to become accelerator ready, taught by some of the leading minds in the European startup scene, and offer them the chance to win a space in one of our Wayra academies”.
