Founded in the beginning of 2012, Home24 has become one of the leading online shops for furniture in Europe. Today, the Rocket Internet backed company celebrates its 500,000th customer. The broad range of more than 40,000 products from over 350 manufacturers includes pretty much everything from furniture to lamps and home accessories. The Berlin-based startup operates in four core markets in Europe: Germany, France, Netherlands and Austria. Home24 employs around 300 people.
Felix Jahn, Managing Director of Home24, says: “Our recipe for success: We offer the right product for any demand – both in terms of style and price range. The online purchase at Home24 provides many advantages to traditional furniture retailing: Our assortment of products is larger, we offer free and fast delivery, and if a customer doesn´t like a product he or she will be able to return it free of charge.”
Half a million customers have already taken advantage of this offering and according to Felix Jahn, Home24 serves more than 2.000 customers a day. With growth rates of nearly 60%, furniture and home decoration has been one of the strongest emerging e-commerce markets in 2012.
