Creandum adds Andris Berzins as Baltic Investment Advisor

Creandum, one of the leading Nordic venture firms that is headquartered in Stockholm, has added Andris K. Berzins as Investment Advisor for the Baltic States. Andris has a unique combination of startup experience from AeroScout and Livebookings, and a good network in the Baltics. Andris is also the Chairman of the co-working space TechHub Riga and has close ties to Silicon Valley from his time at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

“Creandum recognizes that the vibrant and fast-growing technology startup communities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania increasingly present great opportunities for investment”, says Johan Brenner, Partner at Creandum. He continues: “We want to access the Baltic startup community more directly and Andris is one of the leading figures in that community.”

Andris K. Berzins stated: “I want to find and help build startups from the Baltic States that have innovative technology and disruptive business models. With early investments in Spotify, Wrapp and Videoplaza, the team at Creandum has shown that they are uniquely positioned to help the top Baltic startups break into big global markets.”

With this appointment, Creandum will probably be the first European or US venture capital firm that has appointed dedicated staff to cover the Baltic States.
