Mola.com, a Palma-based startup accelerator, has just completed a €1.2 million round of financing. ‘Mola’ means ‘it’s cool’ in Spanish!
The fresh capital will partly be used to invest in seven brand new Spanish startups (WannaTaxi.com, Myntmarket.com, Mutant-Games.com, Matchball.com, Divescover.com, ReviewsReporting.com and TriaVIP.com). This brings Mola.com’s portfolio to 33 companies – with 9 majority stakes and 24 participations.
The startup accelerator Mola.com was founded in 2011 by Enrique Dubois and his team. The Spanish accelerator hopes to receive 1,500 project applications in 2012, of which it plans to select another 15 to pass through its acceleration programme.
