French social art network Artilinki secures €300K in funding

Artilinki, the Lyon-based social network for art professionals, fans and curators, has just received €300K in funding from several seed investors (Update – January 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this name and we therefore deactivated the link).

The promising startup Artilinki was launched in 2010, and introduced during the Shanghai World Expo, in June 2010. The goal of the team is to create a real social network dedicated to art, that can also easily interact with other social networks.

The young company also announced on its blog (Update – January 2023: The blog seems to be no longer live and we therefore deactivated the link), that it will soon end the beta phase and release a new version of Artilinki. In addition to this next big step, Artilinki will soon be available on iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android platforms to offer new communication channels and great opportunities for creative people.

Right now, the arts related social network is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Partuguese, Chinese and Hungarian. The art startup will monetize its service most likely through premium accounts and services, and advertising.
