FrenchWeb raises almost $1m from French entrepreneurs

FrenchWeb, a professional Paris based blog focused on French startups, just raised about $1 million in an angel round from 17 French web entrepreneurs.

The blog was founded in 2010 by Richard Menneveux. According to the young company had 270,000 unique visitors in June (Google Analytics). The website, which started as a simple series of video interviews, today often breaks news and has already become one of the leading providers of French startup news. The recent investment shows once again how well the French startup ecosystem is evolving. The fresh capital will be used (for e.g.) to accelerate FrenchWeb’s pace of production through a new TV studio.
