The venture capital firm Earlybird recently published a 40-page report demonstrating that European venture capital funds have actually generated comparable or better returns than their US counterparts over the period of the last two years.
According to Earlybird, the report suggests that after 20 years playing catch-up to the US, European venture capital truly has reached an inflection point, with better real performance among key indicators for the first time in history.
In order to create this report, Earlybird analyzed data from the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), Dow Jones VentureSource and its own internal fund, bringing all data together in one space, and offering a snappy analysis with accompanying infographics and charts. They dive into how this change happened, and the origin ‘of the turnaround’.
