Spain-based Restalo raises €1 million to internationalise its restaurant reservation platform

Restalo.es, one of the leading European restaurant reservation services, has just raised €1 million from Active Venture Partners. Restalo has announced that it will use the fresh funds to support its national and international growth (Update – January 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business and we therefore deactivated the link).

Founded in 2007, Restalo aims to provide a real-time restaurant booking service that is totally free, fast and reliable. The team, which currently consists of over 20 employees, is committed to acting as an informative restaurant guide, offering the best special offers and discounts for its users. Over 6,000 restaurants are already registered with the platform, generating over 3 million page views per month and counting over 300,000 members.

Restalo.es and Active Venture Partners are both based in Barcelona, and right now Restalo’s reservation service is available in Spanish, English, French and Italian. In addition to their browser-based reservations process, Restalo also offers a free iPhone app.
