German games studio Bigpoint announces a co-CEO

Bigpoint, the online gaming giant from Germany, has announced today that it’s decided to appoint a second CEO. The co-CEO will be Arthur Bastings, who has significant experience in the industry at big gaming companies.

Heiko Hubertz recently commented on his new co-pilot: “Arthur Bastings has successfully built top media brands on a global level, and I’m very happy that we’ve been able to attract him to Bigpoint.” The new co-CEO Arthur Bastings was the former Managing Director at Discovery Networks EMEA.

Heiko Hubertz, the existing CEO, will now focus on the gaming studio’s US expansion, while Aurthur Bastings, the new co-CEO, will set his focus more on the daily business at the headquarters in Hamburg.

Bigpoint develops and operates hugley popular browser games. Founded in 2002, the company is located in Hamburg, Berlin, San Francisco, Malta and Sao Paulo and currently counts more than 600 employees.
