The London-based startup Onefinestay, which was founded in 2009, has just raised $3.7 million in Series A funding.
Onefinestay is a service that gives visitors to London the chance to stay in a home with the service of a hotel while the owner is out of town. In this way, Onefinestay guests are invited to live like locals. During their stay they are also loaned an iPhone so they can get more info about the city and make local calls. The price for a night starts at £150 and goes up to over £1,000.
Their most recent funding round was led by Index Ventures. Right now the service is only available for London, but with the new investment Onefinestay will be able to build ‘unhotels’ across the globe.
