French dating platform Smartdate lands funding from the founders of PriceMinister

The Paris-based online dating platform Smartdate has raised €3.5 million in an additional round (Update – December 2022: The startup seems to be no longer in business and we therefore deactivated the link).

The investors in this round were the founders of PriceMinister (Pierre Krings and Pierre Kosciuscko-Morizet). In February of this year, Smartdate’s founder Fabrice Le Parc also announced a further financing round of €2 million.

The young company started in the first quarter of 2010, is fully integrated with Facebook, and loaded with all kinds of social functionalities for its users to engage with each other and connect.
