Emerge Education, the accelerator programme for startups disrupting education technology, is hiring a Venture Hunter. You will be relied upon for finding and attracting the world’s best education startups to Emerge Education, creating the pipeline of investment opportunities that are the lifeblood of our business. You will build an irreplicable wealth of knowledge about education technology industry trends and the startups driving them, and a valuable track record in assessing, and pitching to, startups’ needs.
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000.

You will use whatever means necessary to maintain and develop Emerge Education’s brand as a leading global education technology accelerator and secure the attention of thousands of startups each year. This includes:
Using your creativity, communication skills, and attention to detail to develop and execute marketing ideas across multiple channels, including email, events, content, social media, paid and PR;
Using your sales and people skills to account manage high priority targets, building personal relationships and demonstrating to them the benefits of participating in Emerge Education;
Using your analytical abilities to develop and maintain proprietary market intelligence systems to keep abreast of key trends in the market; Traveling to Europe’s and the US’s key startup events to represent Emerge and provide thought leadership; and
Maintaining and improving Emerge Education’s online presence.
You are an entrepreneurial leader seeking to make your mark on a fast growing organisation. You bring with you:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Demonstrated, strong ability in either sales or online marketing, and a keen interest in self-developing your skill set in the respective other;
Excellent analytical abilities;
Extra points for being well-informed about the education technology market. Familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp, Streak and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and data scraping tools is a big plus.

As you get comfortable in the role we’ll be very happy to discuss expanding it into other areas you find interesting. We are based out of Edspace(http://edspace.io), our co-working space for education businesses located in Camden Town, London.
