We are looking for a highly skilled software lead/architect to be one of the early team members to develop and implement a new service to connect consumers, audio broadcasters and advertisers. We are looking for someone to lead the building and scaling of a service that will bring innovation to world of digital marketing and radio. This is an ideal position for an entrepreneurial & experienced engineer that wants to work with big data, solve real-world customer problems and work in an organization with global ambitions. Experience in working in or around mobile applications, audio/video streaming, algorithmic search, advertising systems, social media ecosystem, real-time data services and analytics are all positives but not essential.

This position will also be a hands-on developer contributing to core functions development and our own IP, while also managing a virtual team of developers to create the full product. While you need to be enthused about creating a product, you are expected to significantly contribute to steering the strategy and architecture of the same.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale core business and data applications.
• Manage the platform and server provisioning.
• Integrate a diverse set of internal and external data sources, generate and handle large structured and unstructured data.
• Design systems, communicate and work effectively with others, write scalable high quality code and deliver work on schedule.
• Plan, allocate and manage the development tasks across a team of in-house and external developers.

Requirements

Skills and experience we are looking for include varied levels of expertise in some or most of the following :
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5 years or more of experience in development of client server systems.
• Be an independent thinker and accountable for work produced.
• Possess high standards with regard to the finished product, and must be concerned about the quality and maintainability of the underlying software.
• Prior experience in building production of digital advertising solutions and/or social media tools – a major plus.
• Knowledge of the popular development frameworks
• Proficient in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, architectures, and high-performance system design
• Relational databases (schema design, administration, SQL)
• Linux /UNIX skills
• Good knowledge of Mobile Development including UI Development
• Solid Java development skills
• XML, JSON, SQLite, HTML5, Javascript, JQuery
