Description
As a Front End Developer in one of our promising, fast-growing and well-funded ventures in Berlin, you will contribute to launching a successful startup company. You will take over lots of responsibilities in an agile, cross-functional team. You will build systems at scale that matter to a large public around the world and you will have the chance to influence a young company's rapid growth.
You will be in charge to:
- Build platforms and web applications
- Continuously develop and optimize the company's website
- Autonomously develop and implement new features
- Build aesthetically appealing interfaces and enhance the website's perceptiveness
- Receive entitlement for your own projects and daily tasks
The company's technologies and platforms can include:
- PHP Frameworks: Phalcon, Symfony2
- Tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo
- AWS, Puppet
- Solr, ElasticSearch, Memcached, Redis, MySQL, Postgres
- Bootstrap, jQuery, Less, Sass, Compass, Angular
- Responsive desktop & mobile web
- Native Android and iOS
In order to succeed, you should:
- Have at least 3 years of front-end experience working on non-trivial web products
- Bring expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, SASS, PHP
- Understand core software development concepts like OOP and design patterns
- Be disciplined to build things the accurate way and test them in a pragmatic environment
- Care about code quality and unit tests
- Be able to learn any technology, language, or development environment that we might need in the future
- Be able to communicate in English (speaking and writing)
