About the company
Weeronline.nl is the most well-known consumer website for weather forecasting in the Netherlands. Every month the website and apps are visited around 20-30 million times. The platform does not only deliver weather forecasts for the Netherlands, but also for every other location around the globe! This means that we can serve the consumer just as much when they are biking to work in the Netherlands or hiking in the high Andes or going to the beach at their holiday destination.
Position
- You are part of the Agile development team and you are able to solve tricky problems and contribute to the success of the product
- You are responsible for the realization of our technical challenges and ambitions using JavaScript (React) as your main tool
- You are driving the continuous evolution of the new front-end architecture
- You support continuous deployment of UX components and swift implementation of design improvements
- You are going to build something of which you still don’t know the exact outcome
Your qualification
- At least 5 years of experience with JavaScript and React.js
- Experience interacting with REST APIs, production application monitoring, scaling and maintenance
- You have gained your development experience in a web environment and you are aware of the impact of your work on a large consumer audience
- Experience with multiple of: ES6/Next, Babel, Gulp, Webpack, Flux, Redux, Karma, Selenium, PhantomJS, Browserstack, Mocha, JSDom, Supertest, Sinon, Istanbul, Docker, Microservices, Kubernetees, REST API design and the rest of the pack
- Very good conversational skills in English
