Description
We’re looking for an experienced data engineer to join us as part of our core team. You’ll help taking on some of our most demanding challenges: architecting distributed systems, creating reliable pipelines, mining and combining big data sources, and architecting data stores. You'll be collaborating with data science, product, and engineering teams to build the platform that will help our clients to effortlessly create relevant, effective and creative content for their social media profiles.
Must-haves:
- Extensive evidenced data engineering experience
- Formal training in fields related to the requirements detailed in this job description
- Excellent knowledge of Python
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Docker, AWS, relational databases
- Experience working with large datasets
- Experience with DevOps and building scalable infrastructure
- Experience with machine learning, focusing on natural language processing, content recommendation systems and/or reinforcement learning
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast moving environment
- Be an excellent team-player and enjoy working in a tight-knight group of colleagues
- Ability to make independent decisions
- You are proactive and have a can-do attitude
Good-to-haves:
- Experience with Git, Linux
- Experience with server-less architecture and event-driven services
- Experience working in a startup
- Experience building ML systems and familiarity with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, scipy, numpy, pandas)
- Experience building production-ready code, with knowledge of concepts including test-driven development and agile development
- Regular speaker at industry conventions and meetups
