Konetik closed an investment round and finalized its move to Berlin after the BREXIT

Konetik, a mobility management solution for combustion and electric vehicle fleets recently announced its move from the UK to Germany and now it is headquartered in Berlin.

Konetik helps to increase vehicle usage efficiency, safety and integration of e-vehicles for companies with fleets. The international move was initiated after the Brexit decision and it is in line with the clear focus on new business opportunities in the DACH region. Beside moving to Berlin the company just announced the closure of a new 6 digit EUR investment round. Angel investors committed most of the capital. In the round are leading industry experts, Andras Ferencz, CTO of US based machine vision company Mobileye Inc. (recently sold to Intel), John Cillag, co-founder of Remex (USA) acquired by NS&C (Unilever subsidiary) and Gyula Feher, CTO of Ustream that was acquired recently by IBM. With this angel financing round the total secured capital reaches 1M EUR for the company.

By the help of the investment, Konetik aims to foster the DACH and Central-Eastern European market development and expansion on the field of e-mobility and preparing for an institutional seed round.

Konetik offers an affordable, plug and play fleet management solution for combustion and electric vehicle fleets. Konetik reduces the administration workload both for drivers and fleet managers, increase transparency by respecting data privacy and help to make car usage safer and greener. The solution is customized to the needs of small and medium enterprises, but Konetik is also working with utility companies and fleet management/leasing companies to help them accelerate the e-mobility uptake.

66% of fleet’s operating costs are fuel, maintenance, insurance and HR costs related to fleet management. These cost items can be significantly reduced with the help of Konetik. With the help of the latest connected car technology developed by Konetik, fuel savings of up to 20-25% can be achieved, while savings on the maintenance side is also remarkable due to the reduced cost of servicing. By using data collecting technologies, security can be significantly improved, the number of accidents can be reduced by 20%.

Konetik’s vision goes far beyond traditional location and fleet tracking. The business is focusing on satisfying shared, electric car fleet requirements in the future. Balázs Szabó, CEO of Konetik, shared insights about the company’s future plans: “We are very pleased to continue our work on our shared emission free mobility vision with our angel investors. The aim of Konetik is to leverage the growth of the e-mobility market and satisfy the companies aiming to make their fleet usage greener and emission free while having better Return on Investment “
