Berlin-based Data Science platform Contiamo secures a 7-digit investment from Capnamic Ventures

The Cologne-based venture capital firm Capnamic Ventures today announced its investment in the data science platform Contiamo. Previous investors include hub:raum and Vogel Ventures. Contiamo will use the fresh capital to further expand its product portfolio and international sales activities.

Contiamo’s data science platform enables businesses to use their data better and make more informed decisions, amongst others in use cases like intelligent customer segmentation, journey analysis or applications of artificial intelligence. The platform makes it easy to connect to data from any source – such as CRM data, transaction data or behavior data – and analyze them in real-time. With Contiamo, Data scientists can develop predictive models and scenario analyses and operationalize them in the form of interactive decision tools or process automations.

Michael Franzkowiak, the co-founder and CEO of Contiamo explains: “Contiamo brings data science and business teams together on one platform. This gives decision makers direct access to insights from advanced data analysis to base their decisions on.”

So far, the company’s primary focus has been product development. With the fresh capital, Contiamo plans to further expand its product portfolio and international presence.

Capnamic partner Olaf Jacobi stated: “The data analytics landscape is changing dramatically – data-driven organizations increasingly demand more flexibility and analytical depth while providing self-service data discovery for business users. Contiamo enables businesses to share advanced insights across the whole organization. This is a technology with tremendous growth potential.”

Contiamo was founded in Berlin in 2011. Today, its customer list include telecommunications providers, such as Deutsche Telekom and media houses, such as Ringier Axel Springier and Vogel Business Media.
