Growth hacking traditional media: Sign up for SCALE16 on November 3 in Berlin (Sponsored)

You think online marketing is the best approach for promoting your startup to the world? Think again!

A new conference set out to explore how startups and other digital companies are making use of offline channels like TV, print and radio to scale their businesses. Prominent speakers from Ancestry.com, OLX, Gamevil, Foodora, Made.com, Glossybox and more will share their experiences at the SCALE16 conference in Berlin on November 3.

Now in its second year, the conference explores how digital companies are using traditional media like TV, print and radio to grow their businesses, alongside online marketing. After selling out in its first year, SCALE has grown in scope for 2016, with more international speakers and a larger audience of marketing decision-makers from Europe and around the world. The conference is powered by Berlin-headquartered growth marketing specialist DCMN.

DCMN Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer, Matthias Riedl, said: “Many startups focus on online marketing when getting their business off the ground. But they often hit a wall with these channels: after a certain point, the more they invest, the less they get in return. Traditional media has a reach far beyond what online marketing can offer, helping digital companies reach a much wider audience. SCALE16 will explore this renaissance of traditional media: how digital brands are growth hacking traditional media in the same way they do with online.”

A highlight of the program this year is a talk from Ancestry’s Offline Marketing Director Kiara Kempski and Senior Product Marketer Lauren Austin. The pair will share their experiences with using online channels to make the most out of offline channels. Also on the program, David Mohr, General Manager in Europe for the South Korean mobile gaming company Gamevil, will examine why the gaming sector is investing in traditional media channels to grow their brands.

Two startup panels – one featuring lifestyle brands Made.com and Glossybox, and another focusing on disruptors such as Movinga and TransferGo – will explore how these companies are investing in offline media. A third panel will discuss how media houses like Bauer Media Group are adapting to meet the needs of digital brands.

SCALE16 will be held at Glashaus in the Arena Berlin complex from 9.00am on November 3. Tickets are available for both the full day conference and the aftershow networking party.
