On Friday of this week we’ll host the EU-Startups Conference 2016 at the Microsoft Atrium in Berlin. Aside of fireside chats with inspiring founders, networking and a panel discussion on crowdfunding, we’ll have an exciting pitch competition with 15 promising startups from all over Europe.
The winning startup will receive a prize package worth €5,000. In total we received about 65 applications. The following startups made it to the finals:

The founding team of the startup comes from Colombia and Germany, met in Portugal and is now based in Berlin.
Kidsy is a Denmark-based startup that created an innovative application which simplifies the communication between parents and pedagogues. Kidsy aims to be the perfect solution to the problem of busy parenthood. It provides you with all the information that you would want and need to keep track of your childrens’ life while you’re away.
UnitPal is a B2B SaaS startup for the hotel and accommodation industry. By breaking down hotel inventory to the smallest units, data-mining and allowing flexible reassembly, their Property and Revenue Management System increases the profits, possibilities and pleasures derived from hotel management. Unitpal is based in Denmark.
Caesium provides freelancers, agencies and contingent workers with a one-stop solution to manage their time and projects, generate reports, invoices and handle client communication. Their approach to time-tracking coupled with easy organization, timesheet and report creation offers users an easy way to create and do new things.
Travel Legendary aims to provide you with the best way to start your own travel blog and share your unforgettable moments from anywhere in the world. The Slovenian startup wants to offer all travelers that would like to digitalize their memories the easiest solution to do so. Upload pictures and videos, tag your friends or start browsing through all blogs stored in the blog library.
Fresh Square creates a stylish and useful home garden for your living room or kitchen, which allows you to produce and consume in the same place. The Berlin-based startup offers an easy way for city dwellers to grow fresh, healthy, organic food at home. Fresh Square doesn’t use any pesticides and only organic nutrients in the soil.
Tatchi helps you find your nearby friends. The Spanish startup lets you chat with nearby people and show your profile to the one you choose with complete privacy. tatchi aims to be your ultimate social app when you attend events, sports and concerts, to find people you already know and others with similar interests.
SpeakerHub is a fast growing community of professional, independent, and amateur public speakers and trainers who’d like to be found by companies, event organizers and schools. The Brussels-based startup aims to provide the best resource to find public speakers, trainers and moderators for your corporate event, conference or school.
Brace is a Portuguese startup which creates a new line of jewelry for the aging society. It is equipped with sensors and tech which tracks the health of a person and enables emergency calls. Brace will partner with health care providers for the elderly who will resell Brace as an add-on to their existing subscription model.
Masterlizer is a London-based startup which offers a new way for music creators to finish and share their music instantly. It is a powerful online audio mastering experience that allows the creator to transform their sound in realtime high quality streaming in minutes.
Travis is a Bavarian startup which offers a online travel booking tool for event organizers integrating all kinds of travel services in an event within just seconds with only one link. Event organizers register their event on Travis and receive a link that they can integrate into their website. The booking process and everything else will be handled by Travis.
Multifab offers a platform that unifies a full range of digital manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing machines, and other digital manufacturing technologies, which are used by a growing community of designers and DIYers. Rather than going to multiple websites, platforms, and providers, the customer can review the full spectrum of technologies in a single location offered by the Spanish startup Multifab.
Quantilope is a Hamburg-based startup with the goal to improve the way market research is done. The Software-as-a-Service solution of quantilope digitally provides and connects all steps of professional market research on a single insight platform.
