The Baltic startup scene is chilling with the annual conference TechChill Baltics 2016

TechChill Baltics 2016, one of the hottest startup events in the Baltic countries and Northern Europe, is celebrating the 5th anniversary this year. The organizers are working on a very special program. Startups can also apply for the pitch competition.

TechChill Baltics 2016 inspirits a poker game vibe and announces business development among the key topics – everyone who comes over to Riga will get a great portion of knowledge on marketing tendencies, community management and funding modelling.

“We celebrate 5 years, and TechChill, one of the central startup events in Northern Europe, promises an interesting change – the concert hall Godvil as the new conference venue is just one of the announcements!” notes Egita Polanska, TechHub Riga CEO.

As always, the conference offers great keynotes and panel discussions and a wide pool of networking opportunities for tech industry professionals, startups, investors, students and media. TechChill Baltics 2016 expects to meet more than 400 attendees from the region, Eastern Europe and the USA. In 2016, EU-Startups is one of the media partners of the event.

One of the headliners is Ross Kingsland, CEO at Inception Growth and mentor at Virgin StartUp, who visits the Baltics for the first time. Throughout his career Ross has built communication strategies and – alongside his team – has trained multi million dollar businesses and leaders to achieve the result they are seeking. His client list includes such brands as Lamborghini, Virgin, Sainsbury’s, NHS, City Of Aberdeen, Ernst & Young and more.

Another bright speaker is Nilan Peiris, VP Growth at TransferWise and Ex-Senior Manager at Accenture. His passion towards disruptive technologies, marketing, social change and strategies helps companies build better products and makes him a perfect Growth Hacker. Among other speakers are Aape Pohjavirta, Founder of Funzi and mentor at Startup Sauna and The Founder Institute, Roberto Bonanzinga, Co-Founder and Investment Partner at InReach Ventures; Bart Lorang, CEO at FullContact; Monty Munford, experienced writer for Forbes, TechCrunch, WIRED and The Telegraph, Founder of Mob76 and ex-Communication Director at Victoria Real, the company that designed and built the website to stream the UK’s first TV series of Big Brother, and many more. Speaker list is constantly growing and you can follow updates here.

Applications are also open for the traditional TechChill Baltics 2016 pitch battle. It starts with one intense mentoring and pitch training day on February 10th, the 5 best teams will be afterwards nominated to the final pitch battle on the TechChill Baltics grand stage on February 11th! Applications are open till January 18.

Amongst its previous winners are such startups as Infogr.am, Bliu Bliu, TrackDuck and Edurio, who have together raised more than € 2.5 million in venture capital and angel investments.

Although early bird tickets are not available anymore, startups can apply for a reasonable price of € 75. All other information on price categories as well as venue and news can be found on the web page of the event.
