London-based brain training app Peak closes $7 million Series A Round

Peak, the fast-growing mobile-first brain training company, today announced the closing of a $7 million Series A funding round led by Creandum (early investors of Spotify), alongside existing investors DN Capital, London Venture Partners (LVP) and Qualcomm Ventures.

As Apple’s ‘App of the Year 2014’, Peak appears to have emerged as the dominant player in the brain training app sector. Since launch last year, Peak has raised over $10 million.

Peak is uniquely designed to provide each user with a profound level of insight into their current state of cognitive function through a large range of fun and challenging games designed to test, track and strengthen cognitive performance.

Peak users can also upgrade to a Pro version. This offering includes a full catalogue of games, as well as in-depth insights into a user’s cognitive performance, including a tool that compares the user with the performance of other professions, their age group and more.

“We see an opportunity to establish Peak as the app of choice for tracking cognitive performance,” says cofounder and CEO Itamar Lesuisse. “With the rise in the popularity of using smartphones to monitor physical health, it’s only a matter of time before data relating to cognitive well being is given an equal level of value and credence.”

The Peak team has the right formula of world class execution and ability to attract the best talent to become the category leader in mobile brain training. We expect the Peak app to revolutionise brain training globally,” said David Gardner, Partner at LVP.
