French online shoe giant Spartoo launches its own marketplace

Spartoo, one of the leading online stores for shoes and fashion accessories in Europe, has just launched their European marketplace on the company’s website. With already more than 1,000 brands and 70,000 models, this step will allow Spartoo to expand its range even further.

By joining Spartoo’s marketplace, partner sellers have the advantage of the e-commerce technology and platform, an enormous amount of traffic to the site (14 million unique visitors per month in Europe), as well as the reassurance of a good customer service reputation, not to mention having a very active presence in over 20 European countries. In exchange, Spartoo offers its thousands of customers even more choice, new brands, new models – not just for shoes.

Boris Saragaglia, CEO of Spartoo, stated: “Today, almost one third of online retailers sell in these types of marketplaces. And the marketplace sales are constantly increasing. So it was natural for us, in a way, to want to be present in this new niche. And most importantly, this new development allows us to offer an even wider selection to our customers and keep them satisfied.”

Founded in 2006, Spartoo had a turnover €130 million in 2013. The company is headquartered in Grenoble, France, and has about 200 employees.
