Axel Springer Plug and Play announces new batch of startups

This month, 10 new startups will be moving into the offices of the Axel Springer Plug and Play accelerator in Berlin, being the third round of startups to move in since the accelerator’s founding. They’ll be using the offices as their base to develop their products, build their companies, and work towards follow-up financing. Based on the positive experiences of the first years, Axel Springer Plug & Play will be holding three programme rounds in 2014.

A remarkable fact about the accelerator is that in the first three months of 2014, every startup that took part in the first round of the programme received follow-up financing from external investors!

Today also marks the release of the first video from the Berlin-based accelerator. The video, which you’ll find below this article, gives a peek into life in the accelerator, showing the alumni teams and their mentors hard at work. If their video sparks your interest, make sure to prepare for their next application round, which is from 22 April until 18 May.

So without further ado, here are the 10 new startups from Batch III which are moving in this month:

  • Adincon: Technology that ensures the most optimised placement of in-content ads, helping content publishers maximize their revenue
  • InStaff: An online marketplace for temp work that enables employers to search through profiles of eligible temp employees and directly book them for work online
