Stockholm-based crowdfunding platform FundedByMe continues to crowdfund… for itself

The Stockholm-based crowdfunding platform FundedByMe has secured about €678K over the last six days through its own website (Update – May 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this website, and we therefore deactivated the original link). Founded in 2011, FundedByMe is one of Europe’s fastest growing crowd investment platforms connecting investors and entrepreneurs on a pan-European level.

Today, the team behind FundedByMe surprisingly announced that they are are not closing the current funding round but offering potential investors the chance to show their interest to invest by oversubscribing. Oversubscription is a situation in which investors show so much interest in a new issue of a stock that demand exceeds supply.
