ZenGuard, a Berlin-based startup focusing on internet security, just secured a mid six-figure amount as seed investment from Project A Ventures. Furthermore, a round of renowned Business Angels, among them David Khalil, Philipp Kreibohm and Robert Maier, have announced their investment in ZenGuard for the current financing round.
The young company developed the browser plugin ZenMate that protects user’s privacy while surfing on the Internet. Installed by one click, it encrypts out- and incoming browser traffic. Watch the video below this article in order to learn more about how ZenMate works.
ZenGuard was founded earlier this year in Manchester. The startup participated in the first cycle of the Axel Springer Plug&Play Accelerator which supports founders in developing and implementing digital business models. By the way: Axel Springer recently invested € 30 million into the Berlin-based company builder Project A.
The Project A investment (a mid six-figure amount) will be used for the technical development and for the further growth of the ZenGuard team. Additionally to funding, Project A gets involved with operational expertise. Project A’s experts will give advices to ZenGuard team in all fields relevant for success, such as performance marketing and IT.
