Swedish startup Memoto secures $550K via Kickstarter for its tiny portable camera

Memoto, a Stockholm-based startup which aims to develop a so-called ‘lifelogging camera’, just secured over $550K via Kickstarter (Update – March 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this website, and we therefore deactivated the original link).

The startup’s initial goal was to raise $50K; thanks to their now over-achieved Kickstarter campaign and a seed funding round from Passion Capital, the passionate Memoto team will be able to fully focus on product development.

The Memoto camera, which thousands have just bought on kickstarter, will be created to capture the most important moments of your life. The small camera, which is ‘small enough to never be in the way’, clips easily on to clothing and bags, storing images in a safe way.
