MSE-logoHe’s styled himself as the eponymous MoneySavingExpert.com. Now personal finance editor Martin Lewis has sold his site for £87 million ($132 million). The buyer is a publicly-listed UK financial services comparison website called MoneySupermarket. factoryThere is a new kind of startup space in the making in Berlin, called “The Factory”. This new project has been put together by JMES Investments, s+p Real Estate, and other private investors. They plan to develop a hub for startups, and the project is being led by Simon Schaefer, with input from Berlin startups like Soundcloud. Check out TechCrunch’s video review.

GoodBeans-LogoBerlin-based mobile gaming company goodbeans, formally known as Young Internet, has today taken over itunes’ ‘International App of the Week’ Little Fox Music Box and the US 2011 ‘App of the Year’ Nighty Night!. The apps were acquired from a fellow Berlin company called Shape Minds. web2day-logoThe RudeBaguette visited the Web2Day in Nantes last week. The two-day event featured startups from all over France, speakers from all backgrounds, and they even got the recently sworn-in Minister of Digital Economy Fleur Pellerin to stop by to give the opening speech.
