Worth reading: Just-Eat, orderbird, Wrapp, Aulery Award

Justeat_logoJust-Eat, the Denmark originated company opertaing online takeaway sites has announced a €48 million C-round investment led by Vitruvian Partners. Former Just-Eat investors Index Partners, Greylock Partners and Redpoint Ventures also took part in the round. ArcticStartup interviewed Just-Eat CEO Klaus Nyengaard about the funding.

orderbird-logoBerlin-based startup orderbird has closed its second round of funding worth more than €2.7 million. Investment firm ALSTIN took part in the round for the restaurant payment service, which will eventually allow users to order food and drink directly from their smartphones. Wrapp-logoSwedish social gifting app Wrapp announced today that they are launching in the U.S. with some big retail partners including The Gap, H+M and Sephora. The startup, which allows Facebook users to give free and paid gift cards to their Facebook friends, launched in Sweden in November 2011, and has acquired over 180,000 users since then.
