Swedish traveltech startup Tripl to launch an open beta version soon

Tripl, a Stockholm-based startup that aims to create the best social travel web application in the world, will soon launch an open beta version of its site by next week (Update – January 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this name and we therefore deactivated the link).

Tripl was founded earlier this year by Peter Sullivan, David Los and Fredrik Wollsén. The startup recently closed a $300K funding round, and right now, the Tripl team consists of 6 people.

Tripl connects recommended travellers, locals and people to your existing social networks. The goal of Tripl is to build the most comprehensive travel platform that uses social graphs, interests and location. The platform will be available for both consumers and online travel businesses, and for consumers the platform will be free to use. The young company may monetize its web application mainly through revenue from travel/activity bookings on the website.
