FanDuel receives $4 m in a round led by Piton Capital

FanDuel-logoThe Edinburgh based Hubdub Ltd, which is the developer and operator of FanDuel, has just closed a $4 million Series B investment round. Aside of Piton Capital, the venture capital firm which led this recent round, existing investors like the Scottish Investment Bank and Pentech Ventures also contributed to the funding.

Hubdub was founded in 2007 and has offices in Edinburgh, San Francisco and New York. FanDuel is a leading one-day fantasy sports game for NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL in the US. The successful game was launched in July 2009. Users of FanDuel pay entry fees ($5 – $100) to compete against other players at a game of skill and the opportunity to win cash prizes.
