French game monetization startup Mediastay nabs €15 million

Mediastay, the French monetization specialist of online games, announced today that it has raised €15 million from IdInvest Partners and Iris Capital (Update – December 2022: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this name and we therefore deactivated the link).

The Paris-based company was founded in 2000 by three French teenagers. Mediastay now has over 60 employees and has expanded to open internationally-focused offices in Paris, Brussels and San Francisco. In 2010, the French company, which offers a payment solution and publishes games and sweepstakes, had an turnover of more than €17 million.

The new financing round will enable Mediastay to develop its international audience and to launch new projects and applications. It’s likely that Mediastay will also consider additional international offices in the near future.
