Danish sports app Endomondo raises $80K from SEED Capital

Endomondo, a Danish startup and creator of a famous sports app, has recently raised $800k in fresh funding. The new capital comes from the Danish venture fund SEED Capital. (Update – December 2022: The startup seems to be no longer in business and we therefore deactivated the link).

With Endomondo you can keep track of your sports activities, as well as challenge and follow your friends live while they are working out. According to Mette Lykke, the co-founder of this Copenhagen-based company, Endomondo already has users in about 200 countries. Right now the application is available on seven mobile platforms (RIM, iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Java, Windows Phone). The sport tech startup was founded at the end of 2007.
