Yahoo integrates the gig-listings API of British startup Songkick

It was recently announced that Songkick, a musictech startup based in the UK, will probably get a big boost in traffic in the very near future due to an interesting new partnership with a giant in the online sphere.

Online search engine giant Yahoo has committed to integrate the gig-listings API of British startup Songkick, in order to make search results more attractive. This means that if you search for Eminem, for example, you’ll see links to Eminem’s next gigs in your area, via Songkick. The cooperation will start with the US-version of Yahoo first, most likely leading to a growing US user-base for UK-based Songkick.
